Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC suffered their third straight home loss, enduring yet another blow to their hopes of success.

On Thursday night, the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi was the scene of disappointment as Nsoatreman FC emerged victorious in the matchday 25 fixture, surprising everyone by winning 2-1.

After midfielder Abdul Manaf Umar gave Nsoatreman the lead in the 23rd minute, Kotoko found themselves behind.

But just before halftime, they were able to rally back thanks to a goal from midfielder Shadrack Addo, who was assisted by Enock Morrison.

Kotoko’s hopes were, however, short-lived, as Mohammed Abdul Rahaman’s decisive goal in stoppage time for Nsoatreman sealed their victory.

This setback takes Kotoko’s league winless run to six games—their longest in a decade— and compounded their problems.

By the result, Nsoatreman shot up to fifth place in the league standings with 33 points from 25 games, while Kotoko languish in 10th place, emphasizing the two clubs’ separate fortunes.

Kotoko will face Dreams FC in their next fixture at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
