The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has inaugurated an 11-member Constitution Review Implementation Committee (CRIC) to advance proposals made for a review of the 1992 Constitution.
This is contained in a press release dated August 28.
“This follows the announcement of government’s position paper on the recommendations made by the Professor H. Kwesi Prempeh Constitution Review Committee set up by His Excellency the President last year,” the statement indicated.
It said the Committee is Chaired by Presidential Legal Counsel and Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Ms. Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew.
The members are;

- Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko- Member
- Ms. Charlotte Osei- Member
- Dr. Rainer Akumperigya-Member
- Hon Emelia Ankomah- Member (Majority Representative)
- Hon. Kwame Ayimadu Antwi- Member (Minority Representative)
- Mr. Samuel Passah- Member (Local Government Representative)
- Mr. Oliver Baker Vormawor- Secretary
- Ms. Salamatu Iliasu- Member (Draftsperson)
- Mr. Eric Owusu-Mensa- Member (Parliamentary Liaison)
According to the statement, “The Committee is tasked with examining the government’s position paper alongside the report of the Constitution Review Committee and developing a comprehensive framework for the implementation of these proposals.”
Government reiterated “its commitment to an inclusive and transparent constitutional review process that reflects the aspirations of the Ghanaian people and strengthens our democratic governance.”
