Former Ghana Premier League champions Berekum Chelsea inflicted a 2-0 defeat on defending champions Medeama SC in a late kickoff on Monday, April 22.
Second half goals by Hubert Gyau and Mizack Afriyie within 10 minutes of each other ensured that the Berekum-based side scooped all three points.
The Matchday 27 game was played at the Golden City Park.
The result moves the home side from the 9th position to the 5th position with 41 points, two clear of Medeama SC, who drop a place to 7th.
The Blues will next travel away to engage Legon Cities in Matchday 28 while the champions will welcome Asante Kotoko at home in their next game.
