Former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom has urged Dreams FC to be undeterred by the experience of Egyptian side Zamalek.

The Ghanaian side play the Egyptian giants for a place in the final of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.

On Sunday, Dreams FC, playing in the CAF inter-club competition for the first time, held the 2019 champions to a goalless draw at the 75,000-capacity Cairo International Stadium.

Speaking on Maakye Sports before the game, Samuel Inkoom urged Ghanaian football lovers to rally behind Dreams FC against the Egyptian side.

“I will congratulate them,” he said on Friday, April 19.

“This is the time Ghanaians have to support Dreams FC.”

He advised: “They should stay calm, be positive and I think they can get the results.

“What I can tell them is that Zamalek can be beaten. They can lose but all will depend on the mindset they take to the game.”

Dreams FC are scheduled to face the five-time African champions in the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

That match will be played on Sunday, April 28.
