The Black Queens are set to face Algeria for a semi-final spot in the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The two will slug it out on Saturday, July 19 at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.

Ghana on Monday secured a vital 4-1 win over Tanzania in the final group game to book their ticket.

They placed second in Group C with Monday’s heavy win pushing them above Mali, who finished on 4 points just like Ghana.

Tanzania lost their first game to Mali but pulled off one of the surprises of the tournament, by holding South Africa:s Banyana  Banyana to a one-all draw.

Their dream to reach the knockout stage ended by the loss.

Ghana’s next opponents, Algeria, are yet to lose in the tournament, as they beat Botswana in their opening game in Group B before drawing against Tunisia and Nigeria.

In the other quarter-final fixtures, Morocco will play Mali while Zambia will fight for a place in the last four against record champions Nigeria.
