The Black Queens recorded a 4-1 win over Tanzania in their final Group C game to make the quarter-finals of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
A goal by Princella Adubea after a howler by goalkeeper Najiati Idrisa and an own goal by Susan Ama Duah put the game 1-1 into the break.
However, an infringement against Princess Marfo in the Tanzania penalty area saw the Queens jump into the lead again after Alice Kusi scored from the spot.
Substitute Stella Nyamekye came to change the pattern of play, winning a free kick for the Ghanaians to get a third goal through fellow substitute Evelyn Badu while Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah scored the final goal.
She was put through by Nyamekye to cap a night which saw her named the Player of the Match.
The Queens will next play Algeria in the quarter-finals on Saturday for a place in the semi-finals.
