Pupils of Appiakrom Dabiso D/A Basic School in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region have to truncate academic activities whenever it is about to rain.

This is due to the extreme dilapidated nature of their school infrastructure that has for some years now relocated their classrooms to the shady trees on the school’s compound.

Chairman of the School Management Committee, Seidu Suleman, speaking on Onua TV/FM’s ‘Maakye’ Monday, June 13, 2022 noted the edifice has seen no renovation since its erection some fifty (50) years ago.

Mr. Suleman noted when the District Chief Executive, Bismark Baisie Nkum was informed about the predicament of the pupils, he told the chiefs and elders of the community that he lacks the technical eye to check the strength and weakness of the building.

Yaa Titi Okrah engaged Mr. Suleman this morning.

Meanwhile, the DCE, Mr. Baisie Nkum, speaking on the same show averred he never said anything about technical eye to the residents and promised that rebuilding of the school will commence in two months time.
