A bus belonging to the Ajumako campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has crushed a pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church to death at Ajumako Techiman in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.

Information gathered by Onua News’ Nana Yaw Asare revealed the church members numbering about seven were coming from Church at Ajumako to Techiman and were all in the tricycle when the accident occured.

According to reports, the driver of the bus with registration number GS-9322-10 was drunk and was coming from his girlfriend’s house in the evening when he crushed with the tricycle, killing the pastor instantly.

The tricycle with registration number M-22-GR-8999 was nearly set ablaze by the accident.

Some eyewitnesses tell Onua News the accident is the driver’s fault.

The eyewitnesses say the remaining six passengers on the tricycle have sustained several degrees of injury and been sent to the Ajumako Government Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle is also receiving treatment at the same Hospital.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Saltpond Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

One of the eyewitnesses said “I was walking with my friend and the bus just passed us with a speed that my friend had to whisk me from the edge of the road. Then we heard a crash and realised it was the very car that nearly killed me that crashed the tricycle”
