Ghanaian Broadcaster Blessed Godsbrain Smart, widely referred to as Captain Smart has disclosed a distressing ordeal he experienced which took a heavenly intervention to rescue him.

According to the Onua Maakye Host, he and a gospel musician, Jack Alolome were in a bus heading for a crusade to Achimota from Agona-Swedru when the unfortunate incident happened.

He said while they were both seated in the bus, it suddenly switched to free gear and the driver could not control the vehicle. He detailed that he sat in the middle seat of the bus while Jack was seated behind him at the last seat.

According to Captain Smart, the driver’s mate immediately took off a ring he had on and chanted on it and put it back on.

While in the bus, Jack Alolome raised a song (in twi) which translates to English as “he goes with us and comes with us, forever and ever”.

“I turned and saw Jack behind me, we were returning from a crusade at Agona-Swedru with Francis Agyei, Comfort Annor and other Elders. We were coming to Accra to hold another crusade in Achimota.”

Captain Smart further narrated that as they got to a town, which he refused to disclose, a gentleman who also was a passenger on the bus got down and picked up a stone to stop the vehicle after the driver had managed to slow down the vehicle.

The TV presenter acknowledged God’s intervention on their behalf saying “how can you tell me a bus in free gear can be stopped with a stone when a man of God finds himself in any situation, God places a seat before him.”

Right after the bus stopped, Captain Smart recounts that a barefooted and shirtless man approached them in the bus to inquire why the man came for the stone on which he pours libation.

Jack Alolome stood up to the gentleman to defend the passengers, challenging him with his God.

The Gospel musician was later on the Onua Maakye show on Tuesday, February 6 and confirmed the incident.
