Whilst churches are being converted into industries and pubs elsewhere, Sonny Achiba is bewildered Ghana is now prioritising on putting up one at the expense of the many infrastructural challenges the country is facing.

The ‘Maba’ hitmaker says there are pertinent issues the state need to concentrate on rather than channelling resources into an edifice whose economic benefit to the state is low.

Sonny Achiba speaking on Onua FM’s midmorning show on Friday, March 10, 2023, bemoaned the long hours spent by Ghanaians in prayer instead of working to better their lives.

According to him, when humans put things in their rightful places and pray to God for the success of their enterprises, God will listen rather than spending hours in prayer.

The President’s decision to construct a cathedral has generated series of controversies after millions of cedis have been spent on it and yet at its foundation stage.
