Chelsea Manager Enzo Maresca has responded to questions on the Blues’ interest in West Ham United and Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
After the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup win over Palmeiras on Saturday, July 6, the Italian was asked if Chelsea have made a move to secure the services of the Ghanaian.
“Mohammed [Kudus] is a West Ham player and he is not our player, so I cannot say anything,” Maresca told journalists.
“The only thing I can say [is that] I know Mohammed. I know Kudus since he was in Ajax but he is a West Ham player.”
Kudus is reported to have attracted suitors from a number of clubs in England with Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea leading the pack.
He joined the Hammers from Ajax Amsterdam, having played for FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish League.
He will be playing his third season in the English Premier League in 2025/26.
