Chelsea FC became the first side to reach the final of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup after beating Brazilian giants Fluminense in the first semi-final clash on Tuesday.
Two goals in each half of the game at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey were enough to book the English side a ticket in the final.
They will face the winner of the Real Madrid-PSG game, which takes place on Wednesday.
Manager Enzo Maresca came into the game, having lost in the group stage to a Brazilian side CR Flamengo.
With their former center back Thiago Silva captaining their opponents, Chelsea knew their work was cut out for them.
But it took only 18 minutes for former Fluminense player João Pedro to break the deadlock.
His powerful shot, just outside the penalty area, beat Fabio in post for Fluminense.
As if that was not enough, Pedro completed a counter attack to score his second in the game in the 56th minute.
A penalty awarded the Brazilians early on in the game was ruled offside by the video assistant referee.
The final of the FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to be played on Sunday.
