An aspiring Ashanti Regional Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA), is confident of becoming the next Ashanti Regional chairman of the party.
He attributed his conviction to the work he has done in the region over the years.
Speaking after celebrating Mother’s Day at Heaven Seekers Ministry at Atonsu Dompoase in the Ashanti region on Sunday, May 10, 2026, he reiterated his commitment to ensure a united NPP for the 2028 elections.
“I can’t come here without asking for prayers. Come August 8, 2026, we are going to hold our Regional elections. I am contesting for the position of Regional Chairman. I have done a lot of work . I have trust in God. And I believe that on the 8th August, 2026, latest by 6pm I am going to be the next Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman,” he stated.
“I want to lead with unity, dedication,integrity, so, I ask for prayers,” he requested.
He ended his address by touching on the dangers posed to the country by the activities of galamsey operators.
“Galamsey is not about NPP or NDC. Galamsey is about Ghana. Galamsey is destroying our lands and our people. We can’t sit unconcerned without addressing it. It is a call for prayers.”
