Comoros have jumped to second in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying after a 2-0 away win over Central African Republic.
Two first-half goals gave Les Coelacantes all three points in their Matchday 8 encounter.
Before Sunday’s clash at Stade d’Honneur in Morocco, the Comorans were trailing Ghana by four points.
But the win lifts them close within one point.
Ghana, however, have a game to play on Monday, against Mali.
The result in that match could change the standings in Group I.
Kickoff is at 7:00pm at the Accra Sports Stadium.
