Highlife music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, stage name- Daddy Lumba has kicked the bucket.
He passed in the early hours of Saturday July 26, 2025 aged 60- two months shy of 61.
His death is a shocker, yet lyrics of some songs he sang in the past suggest that he long accepted the inevitability of death as the end of life- ‘Me Br3 sua na meko’- that’s a line in the popular hit song ‘Ankwanuma’.
So, as has been said, he came, he saw and conquered. Not just in Ghana, across the world. And his songs cut across the stages of life- birth, marriage, and funerals.
As has become the norm these days, social media started circulating rumours which soon turned into fact- The ‘Mewemawewukas33’ singer is gone. Gone to his maker.
