The authorities of the secondary school attended by the late highlife music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba), has expressed grief about his sudden demise.
The authorities at Juaben Senior High School in the Ashanti Region said the late Daddy Lumba “left an indelible mark in our school”.
A statement signed by the Headmaster, Kofi Ampofo-Nuako, on July 30 said “it is with profound sadness that we learned of the passing of Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba), a beloved alumni (1984 year group of GCE O’Level) of Juaben Senior High School”.
The statement added, “the Board of Governors, Old Students (Asagyefo Fraternity), Management, Staff, students, and the entire school community wish you extend our deepest condolences to the family and stakeholders during this difficult time”.
“Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) was and exceptional individual who left an indelible mark in our school. He is also one of the icons of our school”, the statement further noted.
The Juaben SHS said Daddy Lumba’s “music inspired many. His legacy will continue to motivate future generations”.
Mr. Ampofo-Nuako said “may the cherished memories of Daddy Lumba bring comfort and peace to the bereaved family in particular and the entire nation in general”.
Daddy Lumba died at the Bank Hospital in Accra on July 26 after a short illness.
