FIFA Referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea has been appointed as the center referee for Sunday’s Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
It will be the second leg of the 2-1 win by Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Matchday 22 game will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Laryea, who was the center referee in two highly-contested games at the recently-held Africa Cup of Nations, will be assisted on Sunday by Paul Atimaka and Seth Abletor.
Gideon Nii-Cofie will be the Fourth Official.
The Ghana Premier League remains the only chance for the two most decorated Ghanaian clubs to win any silverware as both are out of the MTN FA Cup.
Worse for Asante Kotoko, their Head Coach Abdul-Karim Zito resigned barely five days to the game.
Assistant Coach Prince Yaw Owusu will handle the team for the clash.
Therefore, the stakes will be high for referee Laryea, who handled the Morocco-Nigeria semi-final clash at AFCON 2025.
