Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew scored two goals after coming on as a substitute in Le Havre’s 3-3 draw with Lorient in the French Ligue 1.

The Ghana captain started the Matchday 19 game from the bench, having returned from a disastrous Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Black Stars.

He led the four-time champions to a second successive group stage exit from the continent’s flagship tournament.

He failed to score at the tournament for the first time since 2010.

Ayew could have set a record by becoming the first player to score at eight AFCONs.

He, however, equalled that of Rigobert Song and Hassan Hossam by playing in his eighth AFCON.

The Ghanaian’s first goal in Sunday’s game was an equalizer in the 85th minute.

He got his second, also an equalizer, in injury time.
