Passengers across several transport terminals are facing significant delays and frustration ahead of the Easter holidays, as many report being unable to secure vehicles that match their travel preferences.
According to stranded travelers, the high demand for transportation during the festive period has resulted in limited availability of certain types of vehicles, particularly those considered more comfortable or going directly to their destinations.
Many passengers say they have been waiting for hours, only to be told that their preferred options are either fully booked or unavailable.
Transport operators have attributed the situation to the seasonal surge in travel, noting that the number of passengers typically increases sharply during Easter.
While some companies have attempted to add extra vehicles, they admit that demand continues to outstrip supply.
“I’ve been here since morning, but I still haven’t gotten the kind of vehicle I want,” one passenger lamented. “The alternatives being offered are the TOYATA VOXY which they say they fear for their lives,” another said.
Others expressed concern about safety and comfort, saying they would rather delay their trips than settle for options they consider unsuitable.
Meanwhile, transport authorities are urging travellers to remain patient and flexible, advising them to consider alternative travel times or routes where possible.
They also encouraged passengers to make early bookings in future to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
The situation highlights the recurring challenges that accompany peak travel seasons, as infrastructure and transport capacity struggle to keep pace with growing passenger demand.
