The MP for Gomoa Central has made allegations of the police murdering 2 people in the Efutu-Gomoa land dispute.
Speaking on TV3’s News Central on September 2, the outspoken MP said the “arrest of the 6 people is cosmetic”.
In explaining this statement, he questioned the essence of the arrest of the 6 people if a known killer of one Abeeku is roaming the street with impunity.
According to the MP, there is a widely known person who is alleged to have killed the deceased person when the dispute began on September 1.
In subsequent submissions he also refused to accept the assertion that the arrest of the 6 people means justice to the families who have lost their loved ones.
He further said “the police that came there from Winneba to kill people, they must be dealt with”. The news anchor sought more clarification when he asked the MP if he is “suggesting the police officials are the ones that gunned down some of the suspects who have lost their lives”.
“I am not suggesting. I am saying that police came there to murder people. The police shot and killed 2 people while another civilian shot another person”, A-Plus confidently stated.
This brings the death toll to 3. Six people have been arrested by the police.
