Registration for the Ghana card and the SIM reregistration have both suffered several controversies especially with the Ghana card being the prerequisite for the SIM authentication.
As said by the Minister of Communication and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful during her announcement of the registration extention, several persons have had their SIMs blocked from attaining some services.
Many who have even registered theirs are encountering same challenge.
Speaking on Onua TV’s Maakye Friday, September 9, 2022, Captain gifted the government on how he would have handled the Ghana card registration which has created the chunk of the challenges.
Rather than distributing all the limited resources for the exercise across the country, Captain Smart noted he would have rather done a region to region based registration to fasten up things.
The process he explained would have taken one less than 10 minutes to get a card.
Pregnant women he noted would have been given the access to get their newly born babies registered as soon as they were born.
