Two persons have died in a crash on the Anyinam–Enyiresi stretch of the Accra–Kumasi highway in the Eastern Region.
Personnel of the Ghana Fire Service who responded to the emergency situation say 13 others have been injured.
The accident, which happened on December 4, 2025, involved a Toyota Hiace with registration number AS-4191-25 and a Honda Pilot AS-8086-14, both found in the middle of the road after a head-on collision.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the Toyota Hiace, travelling from Nkawkaw to Accra, attempted a wrongful overtaking, lost control, veered off its lane, and collided with the oncoming Honda Pilot.

The Honda Pilot driver and a female passenger, who were trapped, were extricated by the residents who transported them to the Enyiresi Government Hospital, but sadly, they passed away.
13 other victims including 12 males and one female, had already been taken to the same facility before the fire crew arrived.
According to the Fire Service, it’s Anyinam Fire Station received the emergency call at 9:21 hours and arrived at the scene at 9 :36 hours with a six-member rescue crew.

The GNFS rescue crew cleared the scene and restored traffic flow before returning to base at 11:05 hours.
