The family of former Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena have scheduled another funeral on Saturday, February 17 after Friday’s ceremony at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf in East Legon.

Friday’s ceremony is said to be under the patronage of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Speaking on Maakye on Onua TV, sister to the deceased footballer Yvonne Dwamena told host Captain Smart that the family will have their funeral on Saturday.

There was controversy on Friday at the Transitions Funeral Homes as the late footballer’s family clashed with his wife.

According to the family of the deceased, the wife and her family do not have the right to provide the shroud for the corpse.

This caused a standoff at the funeral homes for hours, delaying the start of the funeral at Adjiringanor.

The funeral, however, progressed after the two families settled their differences.

In attendance were former players of the Black Stars, GFA officials led by President Kurt Okraku, and sympathisers.
