Lawyers of the first accused in the ambulance procurement trial, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson have concluded their cross-examination of businessman Richard Jakpa.
The third accused among other things told the High Court that he had four separate meetings with the Attorney-General, Godfred Yeboah Dame where the A-G sought to coached him to implicate the Minority Leader.
Richard Jakpa alleged that he was asked by the A-G to cooperate and get the former Deputy Finance Minister convicted and that his reward would be acquittal, since the prosecution’s only target is Dr Ato Forson.
He said Mr Dame told him he was under enormous pressure from President Akufo-Addo and former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to get the conviction done by the first week of May.
