The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has successfully concluded the first phase of its 2025/2026 recruitment exercise, screening nearly 17,000 applicants across the country.

The process, which resumed on November 20, 2025 after a week suspension due to technical challenges encountered on November 12, ended on Monday, November 24.

During the screening, applicants first underwent strict document verification before proceeding to a comprehensive body selection inspection.

Officials ensured that all candidates met the physical and ethical requirements of the Armed Forces.

According to recruitment officers, applicants with double ear piercings, visible body drawings, or tattoos were immediately disqualified, as such markings are prohibited within the military.

Public Relations Officer for the Ghana Armed Forces, Captain Tey, confirmed that the first phase had been successfully executed and that only qualified applicants will move on to the next stage.

He explained that the next phase of the recruitment process is a written examination that will assess the general knowledge and cognitive abilities of the shortlisted applicants.

Captain Tey added that those who qualified will be contacted in the coming days with information on the examination schedule and venue.

The Armed Forces continues to emphasize fairness, transparency, and strict adherence to recruitment standards as part of efforts to maintain professionalism within its ranks.
