Pressure group, OccupyGhana has threatened to sue government over its lackadaisical attitude towards the fight against illegal mining also known as galamsey.
The group says government has all it needs to fight galamsey but has chosen not to enforce what it has because those supposed to enforce the rules are probably engaged in the act themselves as alleged.
OccupyGhana in a statement noted it is going to remind the government on what to do every Monday and resort to a court action if their first plan fails.
The president’s 2017 pledge of putting the presidency on the line is was according to the group was mere rhetoric since he has betrayed the trust of the people as he said.
