Ghana’s national Futsal team on Friday overturned a 4-0 first leg home defeat to beat Ivory Coast 6-2 and secure qualification to the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Rabat, Morocco.

Coach Philip Boakye and his charges had embarrassingly lost the first leg last Friday at the University of Cale Coast Hall.

But they defied all odds to beat the Ivorian in their own backyard.

Ghana are returning to the tournament since 1996 when Egypt beat the team in the final to win the trophy.

The 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to be held from April 8-17, 2024.

The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan.
