As many have described group H of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Ghana is placed, a former midfielder of the team thinks otherwise.

Rabiu Mohammed who was a member of the 2014 World Cup squad has asserted the Black Stars will farther in Qatar than in South Africa 2010.

“Ghana will progress from the group stage and will perform better than our showing in South Africa. Surely we can get to the semi finals,” confident Rabiu has said on Akoma Sports Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

Analysing the Black Stars opponents in Qatar, Rabiu noted “South Korea is a team that plays more possessive game but it’s not a country that can beat Ghana in Qatar. For Uruguay, I have seen their team and most of them are young guys but they don’t have a great team than Ghana though some of the players have been with the team for long but this current team of Uruguay is not too strong enough to win over Ghana,” he said.

The Black Stars’ first game will be against Portugal who defeated Ghana in a three-goal thriller at our past campaign in Brazil 8 years ago.

Assessing the Portuguese team, Rabiu indictaed “they have a good team and if we are able to hold them for the first 30 minutes we can match them. This is not a tough group as many think it is.”
