Isabella Etornam Gagblezu, the 30-year-old representative of the Volta Region has won the prestigious Crown, Cash, Car and Bragging Rights of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025.
Her stellar performance with brilliant answer to her question and votes from her people gave her an upper hand over Asakia, Sika, Nana and Adjorkor.
Born in Yeji, Etornam’s early life was marked by adversity. Growing up in a broken home, she faced unimaginable challenges, including abuse, stigmatisation, and the harsh realities of street life, where she had to resort to hawking and working as a “tro-tro mate” to survive.
But fueled by her unyielding resilience and determination to succeed, Etornam worked tirelessly to excel academically, earning a spot at Adidome Senior High School. Her educational journey continued at the Oxford Institute of Business and Journalism in Kumasi, where she further honed her skills.
Etornam won the Star Performer and Best Costume award during the semi-final just like Makafui in 2024 and Selorm in 2023.
She is the third winner for the Volta Region after Emefa in 2012 and Selorm of 2023. Throughout this year’s GMB, Etornam won six awards with twelve nominations making her the highest awardee in the competition.
Asakia from the Upper East Region emerged as the first runner up while Ashanti Region Sika became the second runner up.
Nana and Adjorkor went home as third and fourth runner ups respectively.
With the crown and bragging rights of being the winner, Etornam’s Early Child Education Project will see the light of day. This project is to encourage everyone, including the government, to help all children of school-going age have access to quality education, irrespective of their jurisdiction and status.
The Grand finale which took place at the National Theatre in Accra on Sunday, October 19, 2025, was a night that saw beauty, eloquence and cultural pride come to play.
