Asakia, the Ghana Most Beautiful (GMB) 2025 representative from the Upper East Region, made history by winning her third Star Performance Award, and her first consecutive award, at the Traditional Games Night of the pageant.
On Sunday, September 15, 2025, the GMB queens took judges, audiences, and viewers back to the playgrounds, village squares, and festival grounds of their people.
Through drama, movement, narration, and fashion, they showcased the indigenous games that shaped identity, unity, and heritage across Ghana’s regions.

From wrestling and chasing games to sacred stone contests, love-testing games, and playful disguises under moonlight, these performances were more than entertainment; they were living classrooms of resilience, community, and culture.
Asakia’s winning performance saw her emerge victorious in Bringing Traditional Wrestling to Life, a game of strength, endurance, and cultural pride.
Wrestling is both a sport and a celebration in her region, and Asakia brought this rich cultural heritage to life with her powerful and agile performance, showcasing the traditional wrestling moves and techniques of her people.
She was nominated for all the awards for the night, making it her fourteenth nomination and third Star Performance Award.
Other winners of the night included Yeli from the Bono Region, who secured the Most Eloquent Award for her performance of Sugmee Jenge (Wrestling), and Nana from the Bono East, who won the Best Costume Award for her performance of the Tele Game.

Eastern Region, Adwoa and Tassala from the Northern Region were kicked out of the competition, leaving nine representatives to compete for the Crown, Cash, and Car.
