Long ago, before the bright lights of the city and the hum of trotro horns filled the air, the land we now call Greater Accra was a quiet coastal plain, a place where the Ga people lived by the rhythm of the sea and the wisdom of their ancestors.

The Gas, who are widely fishermen, farmers, traders, and warriors, settled along the Gulf of Guinea, from Osu to Nungua, La, Teshie, and Ga Mashie. They lived in harmony with the sea, which they called “Bo Naa”, to wit “, the Great Mother”, for it fed and protected them.

During one of her fishing expeditions with her parents, Issabella Adjorkor Adjei, an epitome of resilience, told her parents she would one day love to be on the Ghana Most Beautiful after watching the crowning of Adoley, the season two winner.

Since then, the courageous and purpose-driven Adjorkor has been unstoppable in her academic pursuits, excelling from St. Augustine Anglican Basic School, Nungua, to Asesewa Senior High School, then to Koforidua Technical University, and finally to KNUST IDL.

The 24-year-old second daughter of her parents has taken inspiration from Dr Joyce Aryee, a woman she considers a woman of wisdom, service, and resilience. It is no surprise that she staged a comeback to the Ghana Most Beautiful after several attempts proved fruitful.

And oh, what a performer she has been. From stagecraft to eloquence, she has given every reason to be on the GMB stage. This has gotten her two awards and nine nominations.

For her, “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child and Banku with okro stew has been her strength for this life-changing experience, filled with growth and learning that has given her voice as a leader.

Despite being saved twice by the mercy of the judges, Adjorkor stands on the verge of destiny as the ninth finalist and possible third winner of the prestigious GMB crown after Adorley in 2008 and Naa Dedei Botchwey in 2020 for the Greater Accra Region.

Her dream is to utilise her presence on GMB to spark transformative change through education, specifically by championing informal education that equips individuals aged 10-25 with vital skills, confidence, and opportunities for a brighter future.

Adjokor says she is coming to the grand finale with a powerful, passionate, and prideful performance that will not only celebrate Africa’s untold stories but wrangle out Sika, Asakia, Etornam and Nana for the crown, cash, car and Bragging Rights of 2025 Ghana’s Most Beautiful Queen on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the National Theatre.

It will be a night of dreams, drama, and destiny as these five finalists light up the stage in a battle of pure talent, grace, and brilliance.
