Kumasi Asante Kotoko had to come from behind in their Matchday 12 encounter to beat Legon Cities 3-1 at the Sogakope Park on Saturday, November 25.

It was the second consecutive win for the Porcupine Warriors, who move to the top half of the log with 16 points.

Nasiru Moro opened the score in the 27th minute with a stunning free kick as Coach Paa Kwasi Fabian’s side went into the break with the lead.

However, Dr Prosper Ogum’s charges came with renewed energy to draw level after 20 minutes into the second half.

The leveler was an own goal by Mohammed Suleman.

Ugandan striker Stephen Mukwala put the Warriors in the lead with a quarter-of-an-hour to end the match only for Isaac Oppong to extend the lead in injury time.

The win sees Kotoko assume the 8th position.

Legon Cities slump to 16th with 12 points.

Their next match will be against Great Olympics on Friday, December 1.

Kotoko will also welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday before taking on arch-rivals Hearts of Oak the following week.
