Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies have only one mission going into their final game against Niger’s AS GNN at the ongoing WAFU Zone B Championships for the CAF Women’s Champions League. That is to win by a huge margin.

This follows the club’s 0-3 loss to Nigerian champions Edo Queens in their second game at the tournament on Wednesday, August 14.

A brace from Peace Emem Essien and a goal from Suliat Olajumoke Abideen in the second half consigned the Ghanaians to 3rd  in Group B.

The two teams had played a goalless first half but the Nigerians broke the deadlock in the 57th minute before getting two more goals for their second win at the Championship.

With a total of eight goals scored so far with none conceded, Edo Queens have booked a place in the next round despite having a game against AO Etincelles to play.

Acting Coach of Hasaacas Ladies Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah is worried about the lack of goals on the part of his strikers.

“It’s not the best,” he stated at the post-match press conference on Wednesday, August 14.

“Two games not being able to score shows that attacking-wise we have not been that top-notch. It is unfortunate because that is not Hasaacas [Ladies] standard.

“We need to work on that and in our next game try to score goals.”

The next game will be on Saturday, August 17
