Enock Asubonteng’s first-half strike gave Hearts of Oak all three points in their Matchday 3 game against Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The points take the Phobians to the top of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) with seven points.
They, thus, lead by a point with Medeama SC and Heart of Lions – on six points each – scheduled to play on Sunday, September 28.
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s side went into Friday’s game from a lone-goal victory over Dreams FC just four days earlier.
They had been held to a goalless draw by debutants Hohoe United at home on the opening day of the season and were determined to pick maximum points against returnees XI Wonders in just their second home game.
A goal-mouth scramble in the 18th minute saw Asubonteng take advantage to hit the ball past Joseph Baah.
The Phobians, therefore, went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
The result stayed the same until the end as Wonders continue to chase their first win of the season.
They will return home to welcome Young Apostles on Matchday 4 while Hearts of Oak travel to Bechem United for their next encounter.
