Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been called up by Black Stars Head Coach Carlos Queiroz to replace Gidios Aseako for the friendly against Mexico.
It is unclear what the reasons may be.
But with 11 Ghana international caps, the Hearts of Oak shot stopper will now travel with the team for the international friendly scheduled for Friday, May 22.
Aseako was among the six Ghana Premier League players called up by Carlos Queiroz in his maiden squad.

The squad is dominated by new faces including Aseako’s teammate Ebenezer Adade.
The match will be the penultimate pre-World Cup friendly match for the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists.
It will be the first match under the Portuguese manager.
