Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has wished the new national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) well.
Asked for his views on the new leaders while speaking on the Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, October 10, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said: “I wish them well; that is all I can say.”
The NPP elected their new executives during the national delegates’ conference held in Kumasi last Saturday, October 3.
John Boadu was elected as National Chairman, while Justin Kodua Frimpong as General Secretary. Hawa Koomson won the National Women’s Organiser slot and Nii Kwartei Titus Glover became the National Organiser.
This formed part of the party’s preparations ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The newly elected executives paid a courtesy call on Former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
National Chairman of the NPP, John Boadu, said that the visit was to formally introduce the newly elected national executives to His Excellency and, more importantly, to seek his counsel, wisdom, and guidance as they begin this new chapter of their service to the party.
Mr Boadu said the former president’s wealth of experience, deep understanding of the NPP, and enduring commitment to the ideals of the “great tradition remain invaluable assets to the party.”
“We listened with great humility to his words of wisdom and reflected on the responsibility that comes with leading the NPP at this critical moment,” he said.
As a new leadership, John Boadu added, “we are committed to building on the party’s rich history, strengthening our unity, deepening our structures, and working tirelessly to restore the NPP to electoral victory.”
