The Paramount Chief of Bongo Traditional Area, Bonaba Baba Salifu Atamale Len Yaarum, has commended the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah for his ongoing ‘Thank You Tour.’

Bonaba Len Yaarum commended Mr Nketiah when the latter paid a courtesy call on him at his palace on April 28 during a tour of the Upper East Region.

“This has been the first of its kind that a national chairman, after winning elections, has taken the pain to go round all the constituencies to thank the people for voting the party into power. This shows your level of maturity. It is no wonder you have been a cadre, Member of Parliament, Minister, General Secretary to Chairman. This is an unprecedented kind of leadership,” the Chief stated.

He welcomed Mr Nketaih to the area and assured him of the support needed to make his tour successful.

“We are happy to have you here. You are very welcome,” he added.

On his part, Nketiah thanked the Bongo Traditional Council for the warm reception accorded him.

He explained that the tour demonstrates how appreciative the party is for the support it has received from them over the years.

“My mission is simple: to say thank you. As National Chairman, I believe that no vote is too small to be appreciated and no constituency is too far to be visited. Leadership is about service, and service begins with showing gratitude,” the NDC Chairman stressed.

The Upper East Region is the latest to be visited by Mr Nketiah as part of the ‘thank You Tour’. He has also visited the Central, Western, Ashanti and Upper West regions.
