The management, staff and clients of the Ada East District Hospital have expressed gratitude to host of Onua TV/FM’s morning show, Blessed Godsbrain Smart and his team for their support.
The facility, in a letter issued Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in appreciation of an intervention made by the Maakye team during the hospital’s hard times said the team’s support at the time went a long way to provide them some relief.
The statement says some bags of sachet water and rice that were sent to them were distributed amongst its staff, clients and management at the time when things have become difficult as a result of the spillage from the Akosombo Dam.
“Management, staff and the clients of Ada East District Hospital wish to express our profound gratitude to you for your timely assistance to the Hospital when we were in dire need of water to run the facility.
“It must be recalled that, about six (6) weeks ago, Ada was hit with acute water shortage due to the Akosombo Dam spillage, which has affected the smooth running the Hospital.
“Through our MP Honorable Doeyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, we received over One Thousand Five Hundred (1500) sachets of water and 15 bags of rice from you.
“These items were shared among Management Members, Health Staff and some of our clients who were on admission,” portions of the statement noted.
The letter further described the gesture as “a noble a deed and great relieve to the Hospital at the critical time and we say thanks to you and your team.”
Management of the facility has prayed that some philanthropists adopt the hospital through the broadcaster.
