The last suspect alleged to be involved in the shooting and robbing of a mobile money vendor at Kasoa in the Central region has been arrested by the police.

The suspect, Ahmed, (alias ARRESTED), was arrested on January 2, 2023 at Nyanyano near Kasoa in the Central Region. He is currently in police custody assisting investigation and will be put before court accordingly according to a police statement.

Three suspects have been arrested earlier with one allegedly beaten to death by the police upon arrest according to family of Godfred Okine, the deceased.

Meanwhile, the police say they handled the suspect with care and died of ill-health despite family members attesting on Onua TV/FM’s Maakye that he was beaten right in their eyes upon his arrest.

The two others were remanded by the court and and are to reappear on January 12, 2023.
