Mother of 23-year-old MoMo robbery suspect who died in police custody at Kasoa has said she has not seen her child for six days and has not been able to eat since.

Sister Kuukua, who was speaking with Nana Kwame Gyan Thursday, December 29, 2022, on the special edition of Maakye on Onua TV/FM said amid tears that, her son was picked up by the police at dawn on Thursday without revealing to the family where he was being taken to.

She said her son has been accused wrongly only to be told five days after his arrest that he died after falling sick during his arrest.

The deceased, Godfred Okai, aka Junior, was suspected to be part of a robbery incident on a MoMo vendor at Adam Nana, a suburb of Kasoa in the Central region where the victim was shot with a pump action gun.

The mother, who was interviewed on Onua TV said the family is yet to identify the body of Godfred after they were informed of his demise on Tuesday.
