The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Kasoa Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian, Joshua Benson, for allegedly sodomizing a 12-year-old boy.
The incident occurred at Kasoa Adade in the Awutu Senya East municipality of the Central region.
Sources say the suspect resides in the same vicinity with the victim and has been abusing him for some time now.
Police sources has revealed that, Mr. Benson has been buying gifts for the little boy and in turn takes advantage of him.
The victim informed his friend of the incident who disclosed it to the boy’s mother, and subsequently reported the matter to the police for Benson’s arrest.
It is suspected that Benson has been engaging in the act with many children but only one has reported him to the police.
