Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus is recovering from an injury he picked up while playing for West Ham United in the English Premier League.
It was in the 2-0 win over Arsenal on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
According to the Ghana Football Association, in a statement on Monday, January 8, the Number 20 will join the senior national team in Accra on Wednesday for the departure to La Côte d’Ivoire.
The team is currently in Kumasi, wrapping up preparations for the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. They will play Namibia in a friendly match on Monday night.
Kudus is the only player named in the 27-man squad yet to join the team in camp.
According to GFA’s statement, Kudus is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
“The medical team of the Black Stars is monitoring his progress and is happy to have him join the squad for the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations in La Côte d’Ivoire.”
