A Kumasi High Court has granted bail to two residents of the University Hall (Katanga) who had been denied bail earlier by the Asokore Mampong Magistrate Court.

The two were arrested for being part of the instigators of a mayhem at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) which saw several properties destroyed and got some persons injured.

At the Asokore Mampong Magistrate Court Thursday, September 8, 2022, the prosecutor pleaded the court to retain the suspects in custody for two more weeks in addition to the two weeks they had spent to allow them arrest some 62 more suspects on their radar.

The court subsequently granted the request, turning it all tears for relatives of the suspects who were expecting a bail for them.
