Ghanaian songstress & ‘Echoke’ hitmaker, Sefa has reflected on her journey as an independent artiste following her departure from Black Avenue Muzik, describing the transition as challenging but ultimately a period of personal growth and self-discovery.

Speaking to Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360, monitored by entertainment journalist, Joseph Owusu Worae, Sefa explained the reasons behind her long hiatus from the music scene.

“Yes, I was just dealing with some things behind the scenes, trying to find my feet again,” she said.

The singer revealed that leaving her label was a pivotal moment that required careful mental preparation.

“You know I went off my label. So I was at that phase where I was asking myself mentally, ‘Am I ready? Am I prepared for this?’” Sefa explained.

She emphasized that her comeback needed to be intentional and meaningful.

“If I come out, it has to be okay. You are ready, not because I just want to put music out,” she noted.

Now fully independent, Sefa works with a dedicated team to manage her music and career.

Sefa also credited Black Avenue Muzik for equipping her with the skills to manage her career independently.

“I’m grateful because when I was there, they taught me a lot of things; how to do most things by myself. So coming out, it wasn’t too difficult,” she asserted.

Sefa is known for songs including “E Choke, ‘Fever’ featuring Sarkodie & DJ Tira, ‘Shuga’, ‘Enjoyment’, ‘Playa’ featuring Wendy Shay, and ‘Vibration’, among others.
