Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is set to present his nomination for running mate to the National Executive Committee of the party today, Thursday, March 07, 2024.
The procedure is in accordance with the constitution of the NDC according to a statement issued by the Special Aide to his office, Joyce Bawa Mogtari.

As published earlier by OnuaOnline, even before the official name comes out, sources close to the flag bearer’s office has hinted that the candidate is likely going to be Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
If confirmed, it will make it the second time the former Minister of Education and Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast will be partnering the former President for a presidential election.
She was first chosen in 2020 after the demise of late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur who was Mahama’s running mate and subsequently became the Vice President after the 2016 elections.
