A former head of the Political Science department at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Richard Baah Amoako, has said democracy under President Akufo-Addo is the worst in the history of Ghana’s Fourth Republic.

The Political Scientist says his assertion is based on facts, devoid of anything borne out of hatred or anything.

Speaking on Onua FM’s morning show, Yen Nsempa Wednesday, March 06, 2024, Dr. Baah Amoako praised the likes of John Kufuor, Atta Mills and Mahama who embraced democracy in their administrations despite some setbacks that ought to have changed at the time.

‘You don’t go to the IMF if your performance is outstanding’ – Amoako Baah replies Akufo-Addo

According to the former aspirant for the National Chairmanship of the NPP, President Akufo-Addo’s leadership can be likened to a dictatorship where “order from above” becomes the order of the day.

Advancing his argument on why Akufo-Addo’s leadership is the worst in respecting the democracy, he cited impunity of government officials and incessant corruption that has characterised the administration.
