Following the increasing economic hardship in the country, Captain Smart has on Friday, September 23, 2022, shared a chilling story of a man who could not afford a monthly accommodation of GH₵10.00.
According to Mr. Smart, the man who hails from Teshie walked from his house to TV3 premises at Kanda where Onua TV/FM is located to share his frustrations with him one day.
The man, according to the Maakye host said his monthly rent had accumulated for a year amounting to a GH₵120.00 which he could not pay.
Captain Smart notes the family of seven (7) have dwelled in a rented kiosk for some time now but could not raise funds to defray the GH₵10.00 rent the kiosk owner charges.
He notes the man had intentions of abandoning his five children and wife to seek a better life somewhere.
He was ranting over the huge sums of money government spends on its ministers without recourse to the plight of the ordinary citizen who finds it difficult to make ends meet on his show, Maakye.
