Two senior producers at Media General, owners of TV3, 3FM and other subsidiaries have been called to the Ghana Bar today, Friday, October 10, 2025.
Joseph Kofi Frimpong Ackah-Blay, a co-host of TV3’s New Day and senior producer received his certificate as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana after several years of hard work, determination and tedious study.
His colleague, Sixtus Dong Ullo, a senior producer of Sunrise, 3FM’s Morning Show was also called to the Bar after relentless efforts, drive and passion to succeed in the chosen field.
The duo has made the organization proud and have been cheered on and celebrated by their colleagues, families and friends.
This milestone achievement by both senior journalists have been applauded by colleagues, friends and relatives who witnessed the tremendous efforts and desire to excel demonstrated by the duo.
They join the 824 new batch of lawyers who were called to the Bar on October 10, 2025 in a ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Chief Justice, Paul Baffoe-Bonnie implored new batch of laws called to the Bar to resist the temptation of cutting corners and use the law as a tool to help the underprivileged in society.
He preached against ‘knowing the price of everything, and knowing the value of none’.
“To our newly qualified men and women to the Bar, allow me to speak to you plainly and bluntly, let the call to service and sacrifice guide your every step. For the robe you where today and hereafter is not a civil of privilege but a garment of duty.
“You will now carry the hopes of people who look to the law as their last refuge when all else fail them. Guard that trust with everything you hold dearly,” the CJ advised the lawyers.
Ackah-Blay is a result-oriented professional with more than a decade experience working as a Legal and Political Analyst, Editor and Reporter generating content for radio, television and online platforms.
Sixtus Dong Ullo has over ten years’ experience as a media professional, practicing as a Legal correspondent, Editor and Senior Producer, generating content for radio, for and online platforms.
