Africa’s music legend, the Maestro Kojo Antwi has paid a visit to the family of the late Highlife musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known as in the music industry as Daddy Lumba.
The visit was to offer his condolences following the highlife musician’s demise.
The Maestro Kojo Antwi was accompanied by his wife, Rocklyn Antwi, his son, Ohene Antwi and his right-hand man, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa (KKD).
Dressed in traditional black attire with the usual dark glasses to match the occasion, Kojo Antwi and his entourage were met by the Media Liaison Officer for the late Daddy Lumba, Philip Kwabena Agyeman, (Roman Fada), who was also the running mate for the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) flagbearer, Madam Akua Donkor.

He then ushered them to the wife, children and family members of the late Highlife musician. Kojo Antwi’s visit also coincided with that of Oheneba Kissi and Papa Sheee.

The Maestro Kojo Antwi reflected deeply on the loss of his long-time colleague and fellow cultural and traditional icon. He described the moment as one of sadness and heartbreak in the music industry.
Mr. Music Man expressed confidence that his “dear brother’s” contribution to Ghanaian music and culture will never be forgotten.
“I cannot speak about Lumba in just a moment. He is a brother, so I have to be here. So let us mourn him but his message and his voice stay alive”, the Maestro said.
Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a brief illness.
