“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes,” as quoted from Proverbs 21:1 (NKJV) is not applicable to every leader according to broadcaster Blessed Godsbrain Smart.

He says the heart of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in the hand of the devil.

His comment come on the back of the Church of Pentecost’s call for its members to embark on a four days prayers and fasting to grant Ghanaian leaders wisdom to solve the economic challenges.

In a release signed by the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the entire church is required to fast and pray starting Thursday, November 7 to November 10, 2022.

Meanwhile, Captain Smart thinks the prayers amid the fasting will be in vain if the leadership is “wicked” as the Bible has stated.

He says the scriptures has it that “when the wicked rules, the people suffer.”

He buttresses his statement with the fact that Ghanaians are still paying COVID-19 taxes even though the pandemic is not in existence anymore.

Also, after voting for him for his second term, he told citizens he doesn’t care if they will vote against the party that brought him to power. Captain Smart says it is because Akufo-Addo is wicked and wouldn’t mind the collapse of NPP that he made that loose comment.

“After the prayer and fasting things won’t change because the people suffer if a bad person leads.

“Nana Addo’s heart is in the hand of the devil not God.
If not, we still wouldn’t be paying COVID levy. He won’t tell us he doesn’t care if the NPP will be voted for or not. He said so because he’s been president already and doesn’t care if the party collapses,” he suspected.
